Americans are NOT stupid, and that’s the mistake we make a lot in the UK. What they DO have is a *very* uneven education system which means misinformation and ignorance is far, far more pronounced in many underprivileged/extremely religious communities. We think disbelief in dinosaurs, planets, or evolution is a mark of stupidity because we forget many Americans are simply not taught it.
