Cheers. Glad you enjoyed. But actually Laurie worked with Anu Menon on the final two eps. I worked with the equally amazing Dale McReady on our three. Don’t mean to be a pedant, but can’t help myself. And anyway it was all the work of many hundreds of people. Fab scripts, fab cast, fab team. Anyway, thanks for your kind thoughts.

@PootleFly Love the episodes you did Paul. I looked out for your name and you certainly captured my attention and brought in a deeper dimention to the characters. Stunning series. I was entranced right to the end. Ah you worked with @Laurie_Rose too. Magic!😃

Episode 7 of Day of the Jackal drops today on Sky in the UK. Very proud of this one. Cracking script, cracking team. Amazing cast. There are even some tiny nods to the original buried away in here. Working on this series was a joy and a privilege. Hope it lands well. Next week will be exciting too - and very different! #DayOfTheJackal #SkyAtlantic #NowTV

It’s Thursday again - which means it must be time for another episode of Day of the Jackal! Ep 8 drops tonight on Sky Atlantic in the UK (and is already available on NOW.) It's the last of the three episodes I directed, and it's also (secretly) my favourite one from our block. This hopefully answers a few major questions and provokes a few more. Working on this has been an absolute joy and a privilege. Hope it lands well. Happy days! #dayofthejackal #SkyAtlantic #nowtv

Holy Smokes, the Marsh Family has put out this parody song about J.D. Vance and not only is it catchy but it hits the nail on the head… “Anti Trump a few years ago,  Called him out as a ‘Hitler’ show.  Now you’re playing his sidekick,   Kissing Donald’s ring” I watched it 70 times.  @MarshSongs

JUST BEEN LEAKED NOTE BY HEAD OF TORY CAMPAIGN (the one standing in for the one on leave of absence courtesy of William Hill) MEMO ALL CANDIDATES … THE REALITY. 1. We cannot campaign on our record because nothing has improved since we took office. 2. The biggest change we made last Parliament was Brexit and we can’t campaign on that because the people who hated it hate it more and the people who liked it know we have ballsed it up. 3. We can’t campaign on our leaders because we have had five in eight years which suggests none of them were very good. 4. We can’t campaign on Labour being a risk to security and the economy because nobody can do worse than we have and anyway people seem to think @Keir_Starmer is pretty decent and he is for sure not Corbyn. 5. So LADS, all we have left is this … behave like we have lost, it’s all over bar the shouting, towel thrown in, and hope to God millions of people don’t bother to vote us out because they think somebody else will do it. I know it’s desperate and a bit anti-democratic but needs must. We’re shit and we know we are and so this is it!!! Fuck everything up. Crash the car. Make ourselves look even more unelectable and useless at campaigns. Willie Whitelaw used to talk about travelling the country stirring up apathy. That is all we have left. Do it. Talk up supermajority. I know it is meaningless but it is the only way to stop the superdefeat we all know we deserve. Cheers. Btw we’re having Sunday drinks 1pm. BYOB 🍾 🥂 ps new slogan. STAY AT HOME. DON’T VOTE. KEEP THE TORIES haha!!

@DANIELPEMBERTON @ThePCCLondon So weird. We were talking about him at dinner last night on a recce. Randomly. Spent ages remembering Sorcerer and how great it was. Later heard he had died. So much love and respect for his work all round. Friedman was a wild and inspiring film maker.
