According to the police report obtained by Us Weekly, Britney Spears was pulled over after multiple 911 calls reported a black BMW driving erratically, speeding, swerving between lanes and braking suddenly on the 101 freeway in California.
Britney told officers she had taken multiple prescription medications that day, including 200mg of Lamictal, 40mg of Prozac and 2.5mg of Adderall. She also reportedly said her last meal before the arrest was ice cream earlier that afternoon.
Authorities said Spears showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She was later taken to a hospital for blood testing before being booked into Ventura County Jail, where she remained for just over three hours before being released.
The report also states that prosecutors later offered her a plea deal due to it being her first offense and because she voluntarily sought treatment afterward. She ultimately pleaded guilty to a lesser “wet reckless” charge and received probation along with mandatory treatment and DUI education classes.
