I stopped seeing him after the third date… The first two were nice, he was funny, confident, and knew exactly what to say. But on the third date, the waiter accidentally brought the wrong drink. It was a small mistake, nothing serious. The waiter apologized immediately. Instead of brushing it off, he went on a long rant, raising his voice and talking down to the guy like he was nothing. The whole restaurant got quiet. I remember just sitting there, watching, realizing that if someone could treat a stranger like that over a drink, one day he could treat me the same way. I finished my meal, smiled politely, and went home. When he texted later asking when he’d see me again, I never replied. Some things don’t need an explanation.
