2 if you want to cross train judo, gymnastic training, or boxing would be my suggestion. If you can find coaches that understand all three sports of wrestling (folk, free, and Greco) and understand training cycles just wrestle and strength/movement, mobility training with them.

If you want to get better at wrestling, train wrestling. Track or football are not going to make you a better wrestler, nor are they going to keep you from being injured neither is a weights program that isn’t designed for wrestling. 1

Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) since 1998... For the past 27 years, the PDO has flipped to its warm/positive phase only a handful of times. These short term "bursts" that bucked the decadal trend were mostly associated with El Niño events. However, the PDO was anything but positive during the El Niño of 2023 and early 2024. Will the ENSO pivot that is likely to take place in 2026 send the PDO into positive territory for the first time since 2019? I am optimistic that it could. Will it be a just another short term "burst" that bucks the trend or something more meaningful in the decadal cycle? I think a lot depends on how strong the event ends up being.
