The Port of Ridgefield will hold a public briefing on April 3rd 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Port of Ridgefield offices located at 101 Mill Street in Ridgefield, on the tax increment financing of the public improvements in the proposed Port of Ridgefield Tax Increment Area.

We all very much enjoyed the historical perspective and wry humor he shared with our Commission, staff and the public in attendance. His life was one well-lived, and we shall miss him. May he rest in peace.

We’re sad to announce the passing yesterday of John Burrow. John was a lifelong Ridgefield resident. He would have been 105 years old this 4th of July. He was a regular fixture at Port Commission meetings, hitching a ride to and from with Port Commissioner Joe Melroy.

Commissioner Scott Hughes, who is serving his third term, was sworn into office at yesterday's #PORCommission meeting. Scott will retain his seat as Chair, with Commissioner Wiseman as Secretary and Commissioner Melroy as Treasurer. We are gearing up for a successful year!
