@ghoulsac Tired well? Those are essential elements of Batman stories. That’s like saying that the Daily Planet staff are a tired well for Superman stories. The Batman is also more damaged than usual. You think he’d be open to taking in a protege right now?

I think the lack of Robin in this show really hurts it, espcially as an homage to the golden age. Without him, the show goes to the same tired well of Gordon, Barabara, the GCPD or Harvey for a supporting cast. In the golden age, the police barely feature at all. It's bland

@forgetfullotter @ghoulsac Why would you put in a random character instead of Robin? I'm fed up with random characters stealing scenes from other characters; we don't need them, and they cause problems.

@ghoulsac I like the way they at least included them as part of the orphanage Bruce financially supports. But yeah Batman really needs to sidekick to remind and push him towards being kinder.

THIS PARALLEL now Bruce’s fears make sense. He was afraid that his own darkness would influence Damian, that’s why he kept many secrets from him. But keeping secrets ended up being the reason Damian run away, because he felt like his own father treated him like an enemy 💔

It’s one step forward two steps back. Forcing Bruce into this kind of father role is ruining his character development. He’s already been a "father" for a long time and has long since moved past those stages. You’re ruining my Bruce just for the sake of family drama

it breaks my heart when those close to damian speak about him like this. damian’s awareness to other peoples perceptions of him is vigilant, he is very sensitive about it. he likely if not certainly already knows bruce thinks this of him.
