Our senior debaters have officially wrapped up their final tournament here at Porter. They did incredible things in their high school careers, helping make this the best UIL program in #ncisd and we’re gonna miss them next year! Go kick some butt in college! #PHS_Spartans

PHS One Act Play placed 1st at their bi-district competition and will advance! Special awards went to Isabelle and Noah for best performance, Gabby and Logan for All Star Cast, and Parker for All Star Tech. #phs_spartans #ncisd #ncisdfinearts

Congrats to Coral and Sophia for advancing to octofinals at UIL State last night! They were also 5th and 6th best speakers out of 110 debaters! Best showing we know of in NCISD history!! Good luck this morning in ocotos! #ncisd #PHS_Spartans

After a long day of driving and rounds at SFA, Coral and Sophia are the CX Champs of UIL District 5A-16! They will advance to state in March! #phs_spartans #ncisd

In early Dec, we hit the Jersey Village tournament for some CX and interp practice. Coral and Sophia placed second in CX, while Bella made semis in poetry! #PHS_Spartans #ncisd

At UIL Region this weekend, Noah Hawver placed 3rd in Current Issues and Events, and will be advancing to State! It is the first time a student for Porter has done so in the event! #PHS_Spartans #NCISD

Brandon led the second place team: Hannah Hollier, Alex Taylor, and Ana Martinez. Alex also medaled in Literary Criticism, in 6th place. Our Current Issues & Events team defended their district title advancing to Region for the second straight year! (2/3) #ncisd #PHS_Spartans

The Porter UIL Academic Team competed at District Saturday. This year's team saw tremendous growth, and held off New Caney 97-89 in sweepstakes points, for fourth place overall. Brandon Kusaj advanced to Region for the second year in a row in Spelling (1/3) #ncisd #PHS_Spartans

The UIL Cross-Examination Debate District 20-5A Tournament was held Saturday. Porter won 2nd place School and earned some very important points towards the district sweepstakes in March. A great start for our UIL Academic Team! #PHS_Spartans

The Porter UIL team braved the cold and competed at Lake Creek on Saturday. Eli Woods placed 1st in Copy Editing, while Hannah Hollier placed 5th in both Editorial and Spelling! Way to go Spartans! Our next tournament will be at home on February 19th! #NCISD #PHS_Spartans

At Saturday's UIL CX District, teams of Sophia Simmons/Coral Newsome, and Emily Serrano-Pineda/Ana Martinez took home 3rd and 5th respectively. Sophia and Coral are State Alternates and @PorterSpartans won 2nd as a school! A great start to our UIL Districts! #NCISD #PHS_Spartans

UIL Robotics had a great competition this week and the students did a phenomenal job! They scored high in all 5 divisions, advancing to the finals and earning Second Runner-Up Overall in all of Texas. Way to go! #PHS_Spartans #NCISD
