But something was missing – the satisfaction of seeing my produce transform into something more. That changed ever since I decided to take control of the entire production process. I am investing in a small processing unit on my farm, and also learning to convert my fresh produce into value-added products.... The journey wasn't easy. There were trials and errors, long hours, and steep learning curves. But with each success, my passion grew. Seeing my produce go from soil to shelf, knowing it will end up on dinner tables, brings me immense joy. I take pride in providing healthy, wholesome food to families. The impact extends beyond my farm. I've created jobs for local youth, empowering them with skills to process and market our collective produce. My story will serve as testament that farming isn't just about cultivation – it's about innovation, resilience, and sharing the fruits of one's labor. I will be able to successfully reduce my post-harvest waste by 80%, which is very good. As I look out at my thriving farm, I know this is just the beginning. Announcement of the Passing of Alhaja Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to the Will of Almighty Allah (SWT) that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso, who returned to Allah on Monday, September 23, 2024 after a brief illness. She has since been laid to rest in her husband’s hometown, Ijebu-Aiyepe, Ogun State, in line with Islamic rites. Fidau prayer will be held for her on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. While we acknowledge that her passing has deeply affected many, especially her teeming fans and the indigent whose lives she touched directly through her philanthropic activities, we kindly ask that the family be allowed to continue directing the final rites. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming love and support we have received during these difficult times. However, we request that our privacy be completely respected this time as we grieve and find the needed strength to bring a closure to this irreparable loss.
