This city is as worthy of love as it ever was. But we do have to keep reinventing it together - day by day, step by step. It's joyful work, like running a magazine or making a game. Building a great place to live together will always be a leap of faith. See you around.

When we launched in 2010, this other blog was selling "Weird Isn't Working" bumper stickers. People called Portland a hopeless basket case. Boy did that turn around. Then, around again. In the world these days it can be easier, maybe, to see what's not working than what is.
