A nice male Ring Ouzel in the bottom of the Strips at the Bill - probably best viewed from up at Privet Hedge

@CloudsHillBirds @graham_jaggard We've looked at these photos and there's a possibility that it's one of the youngsters from last year's successful breeding in the Bill Quarry - the first and last two characters in the ring number match. Any other letters/numbers would be really useful!

@graham_jaggard Worth checking other pictures Graham to see if you can make out enough numbers on the ring to ID it! Could be really interesting.

Solitary male Wheatear at Ferrybridge this morning. Haven't seen any females yet.

GNDiver off portland castle, another hamm beach & bincleaves. 2x BNGrebe off sandsfoot. no sign for meself n pete n debbie of the LTDucks. also a PBBrent at ferrybridge.

@JulianThomas19 Does that really need 'proving', Julian? Is it not an entirely typical Daurian in every respect?

Izzy Shrike still Gillingham 5.35pm at least. Tried and failed to get a poo sample. Looks Daurian to me but proving it?

A reminder for PBO members of our AGM taking place at the Obs this Saturday, 20th July For those interested there'll be a short pre-meeting walk to inspect a recent land purchase that'll be formally announced at the AGM - this walk will commence at the Obs at 3.45pm...

@SkokholmIsland Ringed just five minutes apart around 01:30am so highly likely to have been more or less together - would have taken one out of the net and ringed it and on turning around to release it would have found the other bird already caught.

Coincidence or something more? Two Storm Petrels ringed @PortlandBirdObs, Dorset on the 3rd of this month were in Skokholm's South Haven ten days later
