You have to learn to say no without feeling guilty. Setting boundaries is healthy. You need to learn to respect and take care of yourself.

Whoever is in charge of making sure I don't do dumb stuff is fired. I just found my phone in the coffee pot I cleaned this morning. I'm glad is was empty of coffee at the time.

Most people will never understand your struggle. For me each day is an adventure into the unknown. I have no idea if my legs will work, if my vision will be clear, if I will make it through the day without extreme fatigue, if my thoughts will be clear, if the pain will be less, if hopelessness will overwhelm me even for just a moment. And just like me... your struggle is real no matter how small it may seem or how little people can understand it. Do like I do... remind yourself that you are valuable, needed and important to others along the journey. Don't give up! No matter how difficult it may get... keep holding on!

Shout-out to disabled people who aren't inspirational, who are unemployed or stuck with a job they don't like, who didn't do well academically and/or had to drop out of school, who aren't in a position to live and take care of themselves independently even if they would like to, who just get on with things without complaining, whose lives didn't work out in the way they were hoping for, who haven't overcome their disability the way society tells us we're supposed to. You exist, you're worthwhile and you matter.
