Before treatment, I looked well. I wasn’t. Chemotherapy was brutal. It changed how I looked and how I felt. But it was life preserving. Early diagnosis changes everything. If you have breasts, check them. If you love someone who does, remind them. Catch it early. #CheckOnTheFirst

@BOUDICC88003310 Possibly, but the burn marks would have been caused by a much higher temperature than is required for starting a fire. It is one of those things I think we will never have absolute certainty over.

@PotsOfHistory I also think it’s possible that it was used to start a fire, for example by using a piece of tinder or some straw in the traditional method of fire-making (e.g. with flint) to set it alight with the sparks, and then safely carrying it to the actual fire pit on the ceramic piece.

@PotsOfHistory It would presumably be worn by the eyelets, for example using a cord or a leather strap, attached to a belt or around the neck when not in use.
