Here's part of a transcript from an Intended Zones pitching lesson I ran with one of our Academy 12U players. What you won't find in here: a single mechanical cue. No "use your legs." No "stay closed." No doming him up about his arm path. The environment solely revolves around the things he can both understand and control: 💎 See the target & throw through it 💎 When the ball isn't going where he wants, the process is to adjust where he's aiming, not how his body is moving...because he's 12. Instead we take advantage of what's proven to be effective: Constraint led approach + external cues + the Driveline Intended Zones system to track it. It's the same framework we run with pros, just in a different wrapper for a 12-year-old. Keep the focus on what actually matters: throwing the ball hard, at a target, with a plan to adjust intention based off of the results.
