@osgamer74 I love 3d6 DTL (re-rolling less than 7’s once) now as I get older. I’m more about playing the humble PC trying to survive with less than playing with ideal stats and trying to min/max. When I was younger I did love playing humans with the UA method though. 😊

3d6 DTL (down the line) Commonly thought of as historically old school when assigning stats, this was in fact not the case for AD&D (1st image) Most common was 4d6 drop lowest, method 1 3d6 DTL was however the practise for B/X or BECMI D&D, aka Basic D&D (edited 2nd image)

As much as I secretly dislike the bloated feat system in nu-D&D … … I have equally disliked the blandness of the AD&D fighter I’ve always wanted the fighters to have a couple of choices for their combat beside just charge, set spear or dodge Somewhere in the middle 👌

@madaxeman Use matte. Blends in thee edges better and allows you to see the design better. Gloss just look “off” to me. Your models look great!

OK hive mind … question of the day: Hoplite/Phalanx patterned shields. Matt finish, gloss finish or intermediate silky finish ? Is there a “history” thing? Is there an aesthetic “looks best on the figures” thing? (The rest of all of the figures is going to be flat matt)

@A_DungeonDelver I always liked this movie. I think it is vastly underrated. I loved the scene where the Orc Chief in Moria shoves Aragorn and Boromir aside and throws his spear at Frodo.

I have very mixed feelings about this film; Zeppelin was supposed to do the soundtrack but it fell through. The studio were terrible about its production, and goddamn Boromir looks comically bad. Still, I can't bring myself to say I hate it.
