Never mind, I just thought about it for two seconds and realized that they normally dwell in tree canopies and the opposite coloring makes sense because a predator would have to look up to see them. :v

Turns out, animals having a lighter shade of color on their underbellies is a method of camouflage to balance out their overall color due to sunlight coming from above and shading Wonder how many of us questioned why we leaned towards a lighter colored belly for our own sonas. *

@nearlyafox Not all of the satellites launched since then are guaranteed to comply with that requirement either. Whether it's due to non-compliance or unexpected extraterrestrial bebris knocking critical guidance systems offline. Or even collisions with debris of fragments of past satellites

@PoxFox_ yeahh the 2009 incident didn't actually result in any international policy change when it should've the US (since 2022) requires LEO satellites to be deorbited within 5 years of completing their mission but that doesn't affect how many satellites are allowed in-mission lol
