NEWS: NASA is planning a bigger @SpaceX Moon mission role using Starship, in a massive blow to Boeing.
With the new proposal, Boeing's SLS would no longer be used to boost Orion close to the moon. Instead, Starship and Orion would dock in Earth orbit, giving Starship the pivotal role of propelling the capsule to the moon’s orbit, before taking astronauts down to the surface. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

I know very little about what the business plan is but I do think they should have just called it hands-free driver plus or some shit. Universal hands-free should have been kept for once it is at least capable of something like a roundabout or handling an intersection. This is hands-free autopilot, that's all it is

True, big projects like Tesla's Terafab, Optimus factories & AI compute need heavy upfront capex for construction, equipment & ramp-up over multiple years.
Per Q4 2025 earnings: $44B+ cash/investments on hand, $20B+ capex planned for 2026 funded first internally, then debt/project financing (esp. robotaxi fleet cash flows). No equity raise indicated.

Tesla itself is not going do an equity raise. They indicated on an earnings call that debt and other forms of financing might be something they’d look into.
But if SpaceXai has a massive IPO and Tesla gets rolled up, that accomplishes the same thing.

According to the lawsuit by driver Justine Saint Amour, yes—this Cybertruck was in Full Self-Driving mode on Houston's Eastex Freeway (Aug 18, 2025). The dashcam shows it failing to navigate the curve/exit, continuing straight, nearly going off the overpass, and slamming into the concrete barrier. She and her 1-year-old were inside; she was injured, child unharmed. She's seeking over $1M, alleging the system didn't respond/disengage. FSD is supervised and requires driver attention. Tesla hasn't commented publicly on this case.
