"Nitish's vacuum is a Herculean task that BJP has to fill...Nitish despite his health concern...was a leader who was relatable to all the sections and people were not finding any other alternative," says Sajjan Kumar (@sajjanjnu), political analyst. #Bihar #NitishKumar #News @maryashakil

SC remarks on Himanta The issue is much broader than one individual. As citizens, we carry multiple identities, and religion is only one of the identities used for othering. Many other identities are also used to stigmatise, demonise, or dehumanise people — whether on the basis of region, as seen in remarks by some southern politicians about the Hindi heartland, or on the basis of language, as in Raj Thackeray’s politics: @sajjanjnu #TTP | @maryashakil

संसद में बहस का स्तर गिरा है... विपक्ष की ओर से किसीको गद्दार कहा जाना उचित नहीं है... साथ ही हर संदर्भ में नेहरु को जोड़ना भी सही नहीं है

Parliament showdown | Political analyst Sajjan Kumar (@sajjanjnu) says if LoP #RahulGandhi had to cite about Galwan issue, he should have relied more on a bonafide platform and impartial author. He calls the excerpt an interpretation of an unpublished book with the one line 'jo uchit samjho woh karo'. #TTP | @maryashakil

This may be the beginning of a new era, wherein entire party structure may be overhauled and thereby you make party more representative: Sajjan Kumar Singh (@sajjanjnu), Political Analyst #BJP #NitinNabin | @maryashakil

Two universities, Same Period, Same Pattern: Liberal Arts classrooms are a tool for weaponisation of identities, crate social fault lines, foment hatred & pit one against the other. Rewards for the compliant and upon resistance, punish the ones who fail to fall in line. Intellectualism in Academia is a powerful tool to create distorted social sense. @UofOklahoma ( University of Oklahoma) @jmiu_official ( Jamil Milia Islamia)

SIR IN WEST BENGAL Contrary to hyped expectation in Bengal, the draft voters list after SIR has deleted just 7.6% as absent, shifted, dead and duplicate voters. This is less than Bihar. This final list may further see a dip in percentage of the number of deleted voters after CAA process will include many Matua voters who came after 2002. As of now it has put many Hindu voters at receiving end. Overall, the expectation of the BJP to have an electoral roll with massive deletion of bogus voters whose votes, allegedly, used to be polled by the incumbent doesn’t seem to be realised. Nevertheless, the polling percentage this time in Bengal would be an interesting to watch. If election hitherto has been free & fair, the voting percentage should witness a massive jump like Bihar. For instance, Bengal witnesses around 82%-84% voters’ turnout since 2011. Going by the deletion and Bihar precedence, 2026 voting percentage must be around 88%-90% at the least, failing which the popular perception about the fairness of election in Bengal will be endorsed. Polling percentage would be the key of electoral outcome this time.

India claims to be a key player in global efforts to cut carbon emissions and promote green initiatives. Yet, this is paradoxical—while projecting climate leadership, we continue to see AQI levels regularly hitting 400 or higher: @sajjanjnu @Sanju_Verma_ shares her views. #NewsTrack | @MaryaShakil @rasheedkidwai
