They've not even fully claimed ownership of the UKEL post-Alex/Synygy and are heavily reliant on NUEL and Riot to be the adults in the room. Can't cover it all in one tweet🤣

The NLC is back, and UK League of Legends is getting its own Regional League again (sitting above the UKEL)* 🔴 For 2026 the NLC will have an interim structure, with Benelux ERL TO GameWaves running it in partnership with local TOs 🔴 A shortened spring split will start on May 25th 🔴 The region ‘will evolve into two distinct regional competitions’ in 2027: UK/Ireland and the Nordic countries

@sininelol @mashisgone A lot of complaints in the past were warranted due to genuine bad actors who were not removed from the scene for far too long, nepotism deluxe and genuine scams have caused a lot of it but there is 0 reason to attack this new TO

@Praevius_ @mashisgone Tbh, NLC people are always complaining since they removed Telia Series. Maybe even before, but I was not around at that time. I think 7 years is already quite long to complain.

Imagine an ERL 1 league in the big 2026 unable to find random people to cast a few league of legends games - we went from LR viewership to firing all the talent and having nobody to cast 🤡

@Praevius_ As there are ongoing payment and fair treatment concerns, many casters will have been dissuaded from joining the broadcast, especially relevant casters within the scene, I would imagine.
