Update on New Latur City Ring Road . Latur’s new 58 km Ring Road — passing through Chandeshwar, Kavha, Babhulgaon, Bhatkheda, Khulgapur, Nandgaon, Raiwadi, and Harangul — has now been officially granted the status of a State Highway! 🛣️✨ This major upgrade clears the path for wider roads, better infrastructure, and increased funding for development. Earlier, there was a demand to reroute the Ratnagiri–Nagpur National Highway through this new outer ring road, but it wasn’t approved. However, recognizing the growing traffic and importance of the route, the Maharashtra Government has now upgraded it to State Highway status. The 57.8 km stretch will connect: 📍 Latur–Ausa Road → Chandeshwar → Kavha → Katpur → Shirsi → Babhulgaon → Sonwati → Latur–Nanded Road → Bhatkheda → Kasarkheda → Khulgapur → Latur–Ambajogai Road → Nandgaon → Raiwadi → Harangul → Latur–Barshi Road. With this upgrade: ✅ Wider and safer roads are on the way ✅ Funding hurdles are removed ✅ Future traffic congestion will be significantly reduced
