9 year ago today (2nd April 2017), I gave my JEE. I got AIR 1 and became the only person ever to score a perfect 360/360 score. This day looked normal back then but it changed my life. I went from yet another high schooler to national news overnight. The traditional corporate IIT route never appealed to me, and the popularity I enjoyed due to my rank helped me pursue so many different careers. Over the years, I’ve been an educator, built businesses, spoken across the country, invested, travelled, and very recently, started releasing my own music as a singer-songwriter. In the episode involving Faridabad intern, a major cause of concern should also be the ease with which authorities were able to get his number. Did they check with companies, corporates, organisations which were likely to get Interns in Faridabad at this point of time? Was a legal request sent to the platform? Did authorities use Metadata to track IP address? Did the platform comply with the demand? Was an X call made and the handle threatened/tricked to reveal his number? Any of the above is a frightening scenario. X users should be up in arms and demand a thorough inquiry into the transgression. If authorities have stooped to such a level for simply bringing municipal woes to everyone's notice, we are already a Bureautyranny.
