It's such a great feeling when you see your own PhD students receiving appreciation for their research from the community. Ananya was among the best 4 Poster presenters and Anjan has built the first Indian-origin NLFF coronal model for flare predictions. Wishing them the best!

Had a very productive week at The Variable Sun: Past, Present and Future Perspective, International workshop at VSSC Trivandrum, Kerala last week. It was a great platform to connect with the vibrant solar physics community in India and abroad. And an occasion of feeling proud!

This finally happened ☀️🌍🇮🇳 Glad to present the Indian Solar and Heliospheric Physics Decadal Vision Document; a foundation for fundamental enquiry on our favourite star and translational research for a space weather resilient society.  I was privileged to be asked by the Astronomical Society of India to lead the effort of drafting this decadal vision, now published by the Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics of the Indian Academy of Sciences.  I am grateful to everyone who responded to our call for brainstorming and contributing. Eventually the document involves more than 60 scientists and about three dozen organization from within and outside the nation. The contributors range in career levels from faculty, postdocs to PhD students. We wanted them all to be part of this inclusive exercise. A legacy of a vision we shall leave for you.  Personally, to see this publication has been very fulfilling. I hope this vision document will catalyze not just fundamental research in Heliophysics, but inspire everyone to translate basic understanding to Space Weather knowledge for the benefit of society, within and across borders. @asipoec @AstrophyJournal @SpringerNature @cessi_iiserkol @iiserkol @EduMinOfIndia @IndiaDST Link to published vision document link.springer.com/article/10.100…
