In one scene, he was supposed to hit me with a bundle of 100-rupee notes. I told him, “Don’t hit me with the bundle, spread the notes out—it’ll look better on screen and won’t hurt me.” He agreed, but when the shot was taken, he forgot and whacked me with the bundle. It left a mark on my face. I shouted, “I told you, didn’t I?” Vijay Kumar thought I was starting a real fight and stepped in to stop me. Rajini came over, apologizing over and over.
