Small infra update: Moved Hermes Agent from Hostinger → Hetzner. Cheaper, cleaner, and surprisingly no noticeable latency hit. Also moved the model from Claude → ChatGPT. Claude is great, but the third-party tool restrictions were becoming too much for my setup. @Teknium

I’m currently using Telegram to chat with Hermes Agent. It works well for normal conversations, but once you set up cron jobs for different topics, everything starts landing in the same place. Feels like Discord channels per topic might be a cleaner setup. Anyone using it that way? Suggest me the best way to manage things #hermes

@Prashtwtz @Teknium I use telegram with two agents simultaneously. This is crazy. They interrupt each other so it's difficult for them to talk to each other. Would Discord improve this situation?

@waltonoemi @Prashtwtz @Teknium any particular reason why you prefer using threads rather than just having a conversation with the agent in the channel?

@Prashtwtz @Teknium I have a dedicated Telegram account for Hermes. Inside that account i have multiple Hermes bots and Channels. One is dedicated for cronjobs.

@Prashtwtz @Teknium I switched to discord a few days ago and never looked back. I use threads in channels and it just works.

@Prashtwtz @Teknium Discord is the best way to interface with Hermes. Most complete integration and very rich set of options. I rarely use anything else now.

@Teknium But I feel Discord with different channels for different topic cron jobs would be cleaner and easier to manage and look back at rather than showing up everything under the same chat in telegram.

@Polymarket Token usage is the new cloud bill. The first wave was “give everyone access and see what happens.” Next wave is boring but useful: route cheap tasks to cheap models, log every agent run, and measure output per dollar. AI isn’t dead. Blank-cheque AI is.

JUST IN: Uber’s COO says heavy AI spending is getting harder to justify, as higher token usage fails to show a clear payoff in consumer features.

Everyone is still obsessing over model scaling. But the more interesting shift in AI agents is “harness scaling”: memory, context, tool routing, verification, and governance around the model. The model is becoming the engine. The harness is becoming the product.

@droidbuilds Most realistic part is not Firebase being public. It’s the app still printing while everyone says “we’ll fix auth after launch.”

Vibe coding is crazy man. Met a 16yr old making $500k a month with his vibe-coded SaaS he started 5 months ago. I asked how he built so fast. He said he just asked ChatGPT for a prompt, pasted it into Claude Opus-4.7, and somehow the app worked first try His goal is to get to $1M a month this year. Entire business running through his Dad’s Stripe account. His Firebase rules were basically public access with extra steps, user data got leaked, now he’s getting tried as an adult but the SaaS still printing though. None of this happened btw.

@mr_r0b0t @NousResearch @Teknium The underrated part is not browser automation. It’s converting a messy one-off browse into reusable agent memory. Every login quirk, selector change, auth step becomes a skill instead of prompt soup. That’s where Hermes starts feeling unfair.

Microsoft dropping a massive Playwright update geared specifically for agents, Webwright! This is an absolute game changer for agentic browser use as every session becomes a reusable workflow The repo includes a @NousResearch Hermes Agent skill 😍 microsoft.github.io/Webwright/

@edzitron The real story is not “Microsoft banned AI”. It is: agent tools have finally become expensive enough to need FinOps. Same thing happened with cloud. First everyone shipped fast, then the bill arrived, then governance became a feature.

This is untrue. They have stopped using Claude Code in favor of Copilot CLI, and continue to use Anthropic models. While there are rumors at Microsoft of potential token austerity or model restriction measures that are formal in any way.

@Jayyanginspires The winner won’t be another app blocker. It’ll be an agent that scrolls for you, extracts the useful 2%, and makes the remaining 98% feel embarrassing.
