I think we were too harsh on him regarding the captaincy. A guy like Hardik looked clueless on the field yesterday, even while getting regular inputs from Mahela and the other coaches. As for Rutu, the CSK coaches barely provide any input to him during the match.

@PratikCSK Loved the captaincy today man , field placements were on point. Even in the last matches it was very good , just the bowlers didn't bowl according to it. We had early wickets of kohli and vaibhav if not for catch drops . He is here to stay .

Captaincy matters so much in cricket & CSK is a prime case study of the same. If anyone tells you, what captain did what are his performance, why are you giving credit to captain then just show them CSK! - With MS Dhoni's captaincy, CSK played 10 Finals & 5 Trophies. - Without MS Dhoni's captaincy, CSK finish in bottom half of the table be it 2022 under Jadeja, 2024 & 2025 under Gaikwad. Now look at this circus last night! I love Ruturaj Gaikwad but I have seen enough of him as captain & I strongly believe CSK should move to Sanju Samson as far as captaincy concerned as he was good as RR's captain too.
