Happy GPT 5.6 day! We dream of fighting disease with this kind of intelligence. In that spirit, here is a first preview of Cell Cinema, the future cell token for AI models. And a first for humanity: we recorded ferroptosis label-free, in real-time. A huge feat for biosciences.

Scientists developed an AI readable system that films a single living cancer cell in real time while a drug triggers a special type of cell death called ferroptosis. In this process, iron basically rusts the cell from the inside. 1/2

Extremely bullish on Precigenetics. We needed this yesterday! For first 18 years of life, my knowledge of biology was "Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell". It was during my undergrad project when I worked with 6 different hospitals across 3 states and realised how much of this process is shooting in the dark. Looking forward to one day when @parmita makes it trivial and accessible to solve diseases.

Today, we take drugs without knowing what they do to us. We solve disease without knowing what it really is. Never again. AI helps us understand high dimensional spectral tokens of cell state. We happen to have built a factory to manufacture them.

In biology today, most high-dimensional data comes from destroying the cell. You can not understand biology by killing it, Because the cell is dead after you measure it, you can't see what it would have done next. If you want to see the next stage of the disease, you have to measure a different cell. You lose the cell's unique history and identity. CELL CINEMA from @Precigenetics acts like a 3D movie camera for living cells. It tracks the exact same cell over time before, during, and after you give it a drug. Usually, scientists have to inject toxic fluorescent dyes or antibodies to make parts of a cell glow. Cell Cinema uses hyperspectral imaging, reading the native chemical and vibrational signatures of the cell. No dyes required, meaning the cell stays healthy and undisturbed. It doesn't just take a flat picture, it captures the full depth (x, y, z axes) of the cell's internal structure. Right now, AI is great at predicting static structures like protein folding or generating new molecules. But AI hasn't had a good "training set" for how living biology reacts to stress over time. By turning living biology into a computable tensor (a massive grid of Cells × Time × Features), Precigenetics wants to train AI models to look at a diseased cell and accurately predict its rescue path, the exact series of shifts needed to steer it back to health.

We are now working out a deal to use a smaller drug scope system (not as sophisticated as pictured) on Indian patients for oral cancer as a v1. Oral cancer takes many lives of patients in Delhi especially. India gives us a path to try this out faster, serve patients, and still be able to make impact as a smaller startup. But don’t worry - we plan to take this worldwide. Exciting stuff ahead!

Today is a day of many announcements. This is DRUG-SCOPE, our future vision of our room-large optical system. We completed the process of optical design, miniaturized, years ago. Today, we share it with you. It can be used in surgeries, on the skin, in manufacturing.
