There is nothing quite like the energy of a school assembly when something big is about to happen! We were honoured to have been invited by Croxby Primary School to speak with the students about the craftsmanship and care behind their new playground before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the launch, Amy took a tour of the finished space to show what was installed. As Headteacher Kerry Mason noted, this was a journey of "planning, collaboration, and shared vision." We recently delivered a high-impact physical play zone at Anston Greenlands Primary School in Sheffield, designed specifically for pupils with complex needs, including those who are non-verbal or autistic. In specialist SEND environments, the sensory experience of equipment is just as critical as its functionality. Every material choice directly influences how pupils engage, regulate, and interact with their surroundings. To support this, we incorporated hand-finished robinia hardwood - selected for its naturally smooth, cooling surface and tactile quality - creating a more calming, sensory-friendly play environment.
