I play video games online with the same group of guys every Friday night. We've been doing it for two years. The skill level is all over the place. The trash talk is completely disproportionate to the skill level. Last Friday we lost five games in a row and everyone had a theory about why. Jordan: The connection was bad tonight. Me: My connection was fine. Jordan: Mine was lagging. Me: You were lagging on your end. Jordan: That's what I said. Me: (pause) Marcus: I think we need a new strategy. Me: We had a strategy. Marcus: It wasn't working. Me: Because nobody followed it. Marcus: It wasn't a good strategy. Me: You agreed to it before we started. Marcus: I was being polite. Me: (stares at screen) Me: We lost five games. Jordan: The other team was camping. Me: That's just called playing defense. Jordan: It's cheap. Me: It's a legal strategy.
