@MzBelindaW @loopingntheloup OK. we’re not looking to highlight where the language has come from the focus is on the language. The survey is set up as a reflective practice so uses each trimester as prompts. There is plenty of space to share as you move through the survey and option to send more detail 1/2

🌟 Exciting research suggests that mothers w/ T1D may protect their babies from the condition while in the womb. Children are almost twice as likely to be diagnosed if their father has T1D rather than their mother. Could this maternal shielding pave the way for new treatments? 🤔

@PregnancyLMD @loopingntheloup I tried to do the survey and separate it out by speciality, but it didn’t let me. The infant feeding midwives were the best midwives. The antenatal & the U.K. trained ward ones were awful. My obstetricians & DSNs are fabulous.

@MzBelindaW @loopingntheloup It’s not just midwives & feels unfair to aim generalisations at one specialty when we see many HCPs during pregnancy who equally get it absolutely right & dangerously wrong. So many people are trying to change the experience.

@loopingntheloup But the amount of hostility & ignorance pregnant women with Type 1 Diabetes experience from midwives is brutal and unnecessary.

@BSugrTrampoline It absolutely is! We appreciate there may be differences with some of the appointments, but the survey is set more to prompt reflective thinking than a necessity to know which appointments the experience was at (does that make sense?)
