When one player has a stronger overall resume by the standards you’re using, constantly changing those standards doesn’t make the resume disappear. You can prefer Ronaldo. That’s your choice. But if your argument depends on constantly changing the criteria whenever Messi comes out ahead, that’s not objectivity—it’s willful ignorance. Willful ignorance is seeing the same evidence everyone else sees, then choosing to dismiss it whenever it doesn’t favor your preferred player.
