Rain Stopped. Traffic Didn’t! Vadsar’s Khiskoli Circle Choked for Hours The first spell of monsoon brought traffic to a crawl at Vadsar’s busy Khiskoli Circle. Waterlogging triggered long vehicle queues, leaving commuters stuck for hours and exposing the city’s drainage and traffic management once again. વરસાદ થંભ્યો… પણ વડસરમાં ટ્રાફિક હજુ અટક્યો! ખિસકોલી સર્કલ પર કલાકો સુધી જામ ચોમાસાના પહેલા વરસાદ બાદ વડસરના વ્યસ્ત ખિસકોલી સર્કલ પર સવારથી જ વાહનોની લાંબી કતારો જોવા મળી. પાણી ભરાવાના કારણે ટ્રાફિક કીડીની ગતિએ આગળ વધ્યો અને ઓફિસ જતાં લોકો સહિત અનેક વાહનચાલકોને ભારે હાલાકીનો સામનો કરવો પડ્યો. એક વરસાદે જ શહેરની ટ્રાફિક અને ડ્રેનેજ વ્યવસ્થાની પોલ ફરી એકવાર ખોલી નાખી.

With the scandals emerging around the Ram Mandir administration, it’s sad to see how religion has become big business in India. Faith should inspire integrity, not create opportunities for profiteering. Don’t people have better things to do with their lives than monetize devotion?

Nobody is walking around the world looking down on India or Indians. Yet Indian films and series often sell exactly that story. Shows like Made in India – A Titan Story dramatize foreign-especially Swiss or Western-disrespect in ways that reinforce an “us vs. them” mindset. These narratives can plant unnecessary resentment rather than confidence. When success becomes “winning at any cost,” the consequences are corruption, nepotism, obsession with titles, and inflated egos-the “Tu kya hai be?” mentality. India doesn’t need a victim narrative. It needs a culture built on competence, integrity, humility, and continuous improvement. That’s what will move the country forward.

India’s biggest problem is hero worship. We need to replace it with principle worship, cause worship, or even a deeper respect for nature. Societies progress when ideas matter more than individuals. I also question whether today’s emphasis on external deity worship in Hinduism is producing the values and outcomes it was meant to. Time for introspection.

India’s citizens, much of the press, and even parts of the judiciary have been conditioned to pay lip service to government actions they know are mediocre-or worse, dishonest. When people knowingly normalize lies, cheating, or fraud, accountability disappears. No nation can build lasting prosperity on a foundation of fraud.

Why do so many news headlines in India have to be sensational and emotionally loaded? Instead of informing, they seem designed to provoke. Even worse, they rarely convey a meaningful message or encourage critical thinking. News should enlighten, not manipulate.
