@LegendOfWinning He does the same thing with Magic and Curry too. According to his own criteria for LeBron > Jordan, Curry would be better than Magic too

The funny thing about Nick is that he is so clearly “ring culture” until it comes down to the MJ/LeBron debate. Cousy over Baylor? Dirk over KG? Isiah Thomas is on the same tier as Jokic, Giannis and KD?!?! The ONLY reason why he would believe that is because of Championships

I (admittedly) care about lists more than most, and I get irrationally upset at how many folks casually throw around “Top 10 All Time” and use it to refer to ~15 players. So, inspired by Jokic, I made this. A nice tiered list of 22 NBA legends, and where each is in that debate.

Capitalism has proved so successful at reducing poverty that socialists had to create the concept of “relative poverty” to keep themselves in business.

Bro, Jokic is an offensive hoops god, but he isn't athletic, he's just not. It is what it is. Jordan was one of the worst 3 point shooters from the big boy line in history. Curry sucks at defense. Shaq sucked at FTs. Every player who has ever played has a negative somewhere in their game, other than maybe LeBron James (FT shooting is his weakest link, but it's not a true negative as he's not a "bad" FT shooter). I remember watching Jokic as a rookie ... never in a million years did I think that kid would become a 3 time MVP, Finals Champ & all-time ... Nikola has maximized his potential to an extent most players only dream of ... just imagine if Shaq with his God-given size and athleticism had become the passer and shooter Jokic became ... Shaq would've had 10+ MVPs and broken Bill Russell's ring count. SHAQ is my favorite center of all-time, but I do think Jokic has maximized his own potential more than Shaq did.

With respect, this is the argument I don’t get with Jokic. His basic, traditional stats are amazing and unprecedented. No scientist came up with something like VORPper48 to trick everybody. He just puts up insane numbers, but can struggle on D and sometimes with his 3

Nikola Jokic will now be the overwhelming example of “eye test over everything”. Since winning his first MVP the majority of spreadsheets and formulated NBA metrics claimed he was the greatest offensive player ever. There’s never been more pushback to that sentiment than right now.

Rich Paul doesn’t think blowing a 3-0 lead to the Rockets will affect LeBron’s legacy: “LeBron’s legacy is etched in stone since 2016… I see a lot of guys on shows who talk. I want to come up with a rule, if you weren’t better than the player you’re talking about, you shouldn’t be able to talk about him. That’d eliminate 99.9% of the ex players that talk about him.” (via Game Over Pod, h/t @NBA__Courtside)

@JSG3_ Nah I think even with all that they just needed an OG level player. They get past LA with OG and I think that would’ve been their toughest challenge

@PrepTheftAuto I disagree. OG would have been sick, but he alone wouldn’t have solved everything. It just wasn’t meant to be
Jaden Gaines@JSG3_

@z_strick Even if we got OG, Klay was atrocious in the playoffs, Wiggins was MIA for half the season, Poole was the worst player in the NBA, and we had no playable Centers outside of Looney and Draymond at the 5. That team had major flaws that wouldn’t have been solved by one player
