I couldn't let this pass🙄. North Carolina school public school teachers are being coerced/strongly encouraged by their "union" NCAE to go to Raleigh for a demonstration on May 1st(appropriate). Supposedly to protest for more money "for the kids". In NC we have a somewhat feckless GOP legislature and a wannabe- Gavin Newsome Dem governor. This local school system had a $46 MILLION DOLLAR budget shortfall in '24-'25 due to incompetence and financial malfeasance. No one was held accountable, the superintendent and CFO were allowed to retire and skate away. The state auditor recently found continued poor accounting practices. And yet,they have the nerve to protest in Raleigh in an effort to force taxpayers to hand more money to these administrators, while enrollment is decreasing significantly and any metric measuring results continues tracking negative. 😡 So....no school for kids in public school districts all over the state due to staff taking the day off to demonstrate. Ya know, I'll bet all the private schools and homeschool families that they want to deny educational vouchers will continue to educate their children on May 1st.

Hey, @WRAL - did you mean Sophia? I’m from near Sparta and pretty sure my social media would’ve exploded if it was in Alleghany County. But they are still having booms and little ones since the big one in 2020.

What we learned through the shortest era ever… Pack shows up and can be loud. We can sell out Lenovo. We can be competitive. The State name and $$ can attract talent. We deserve a coach that loves us as much as we love them. And yep - I’ll still cheer, but getting jaded.

Boycotting Wade Avenue and will be driving by the Belltower. Wolfpackin’ ain’t ever easy - and we deserve better.
