My time in the Yukon has come to an end. I celebrated Mass in 6 locations driving 3351 kms in total. Probably will be back at Christmas. Thanks to Catholic Missions In Canada for making it possible.

My last weekend doing the Iskut, Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek run from Watson Lake. Twelve hours of driving to get to three churches in Northern BC. Southern priests are missing the joy of Northern Canada.

Preparing for trip to Dease Lake after 5pm Mass in Watson Lake. It’s a 3 hour drive. Sunday drive 1 hour to Iskut for Mass then return to Dease for Mass. Have lunch and drive 2 hours on dirt road to Telegraph Creek for Mass. Then I get to fish.

Landed Whitehorse safely after 6 hour flight on Air North, 2 hours less than Air Canada into Vancouver. A balmy 25C. Driving 6.5 hours to Good Hope Lake for Mass tomorrow then 1.5 hours back to Watson Lake where I’ll be stationed for 6 weeks.

Preparing for 6 weeks in the Yukon to help Bishop Vila. I’ll be based in Watson Lake but traveling 5 hours south into BC for Telegraph Creek. In all, I’ll be ministering at 5 mission churches.

Oh no I have COVID. Beware anyone who was around me on the weekend.

I’m at the Ontario Knights of Columbus Convention in Niagara Falls. It’s good to rekindle relationships after 2 years of the pandemic. They are wonderful supporters of Catholic Missions In Canada.
