There is something powerful about watching those who once walked your corridors return, carrying larger responsibilities. At the finals of the Manav Rachna Corporate Cricket Challenge 2026, Sh. @GauravgGautam, Hon’ble Minister of State for Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship (IC), Sports (IC), and Law & Legislative Department, Government of Haryana, joined us as the Chief Guest, marking a full-circle moment. His journey with Manav Rachna began in its classrooms, as an educator at the School of Media Studies & Humanities. It continued through his academic pursuit as a doctoral scholar, and today finds expression in the responsibilities he holds in public life. The roles have changed, the canvas has expanded, but the connection has remained. Over the years, he has returned to the campus at significant moments, including the opening ceremony of the FISU World University Championship Shooting 2024. Each visit reflecting a relationship that has stayed alive through time, memory, and shared purpose. Addressing the gathering, he shared: “Sports have the power to bring balance and strength into our lives. Amid our daily responsibilities, sports help us stay strong and focused. Through such tournaments, we inspire people, connect with society, and show how life can be lived with discipline, positivity, and purpose.” Moments like these carry a subtle reassurance. That journeys shaped within an institution continue to stay connected to it, even as they move into larger arenas. And that some associations are meant to return - not to revisit the past, but to carry it forward. #Learning #Education #Sports

A final that felt less like a match and more like a statement. 311 on the board. 20 overs of sheer intent. And a chase that refused to back down. The 19th Manav Rachna Corporate Cricket Challenge 2026 found its champions in Spark Minda, sealing the game with a commanding 49-run victory over Aaj Tak—but the real win was the spirit that unfolded on the field. From Ameya Singh’s explosive 114 off 39 to a tournament that brought together the country’s leading corporates, this was cricket at its most electrifying - fast, fearless, and fiercely competitive. What began in January with 24 teams built up to this moment and culminated into something far more powerful, a coming together of industry, energy, and intent. Because when sport meets purpose, it doesn’t just build teams, it builds a way of life. At Manav Rachna, that belief continues to drive us forward. #cricketfinal #corporatecricket @spark_minda @aajtak @manav_rachna

Some associations grow over time. A few become truly enduring - rooted in shared values and mutual respect. It has been a privilege engaging with Padma Bhushan @therealkapildev ji over the years. Beyond the legend, what stands out is his humility and strength of character. From the early editions of the Manav Rachna Corporate Cricket Challenge to inaugurating its 10th edition, from engaging with our students, including during the UK Turing Scheme, to sharing insights at the QS India Summit in Goa, his association with Manav Rachna has been truly special. A memorable moment remains his presence at the launch of Utkrisht: Icons of Manav Rachna (2022), where he shared: “When a student completes his education, it is an institution’s responsibility that he walks out with a character.” Most recently, I had the pleasure of hosting him on campus - warm, grounded, and deeply inspiring as always. Grateful for this enduring association, and to Mr. Sarkar Talwar for nurturing it over the years. Because institutions are built not just on ideas, but on people and shared journeys. #kapildev #EducationForAll #Sports

How can progressive people practices become the foundation of excellence in academic institutions? This question shaped the conversations at the 5th edition of the MR Roundtable. One insight that stayed with me was @mamidala90's reference to the Adi Shankaracharya learning framework: Pathanam, Mananam, Chintanam, Sankirtanam. Learning begins with exposure. It deepens through reflection. It matures through critical thinking. And it finds purpose when knowledge is expressed, applied, and shared. This progression offers a powerful lens for rethinking higher education today. If institutions are serious about excellence, people practices must align with this learning journey. Faculty systems cannot be limited to delivery alone; they must enable mentoring, inquiry, research, interdisciplinary thinking, and real-world application. Performance frameworks, therefore, must evolve from measuring activity to recognizing impact. In an AI-enabled academic world, this becomes even more urgent. Content is abundant. What differentiates institutions is their ability to design ecosystems where teachers guide students from information to insight - and from insight to contribution. Progressive people practices are, therefore, not limited to HR innovation. They are about designing institutions that move learners through Pathanam → Mananam → Chintanam → Sankirtanam. Because the purpose of education is not completion of curriculum - it is the creation of thinking, capable, and responsible human beings. @adarshnigam | @ms_aicte | @raginie_singh | @manav_rachna #ManavRachna #AcademicExcellence

In a ceremony that marks global readiness, we chose to stand rooted in India. We chose khadi. At our Convocation, khadi replaced traditional regalia - a quiet statement about staying rooted while preparing students for the world. We were honoured to have Jagat Prakash Nadda @JPNadda as our Chief Guest. In his address, he spoke about India’s growing leadership in healthcare, science, and innovation, and reminded our graduates that education carries a responsibility to serve with integrity, empathy, and national purpose. He particularly appreciated the very name Manav Rachna, noting that it reflects an institution that goes beyond knowledge transmission to the shaping of the human being, rooted in values, compassion, and character. Amid this inspiring atmosphere, over 2,100 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees were conferred today at the @manav_rachna campus. To the Class of 2025: may you carry this spirit of purpose, responsibility, and nation-building forward. #ManavRachna #MRConvocation

India’s higher education challenge today is not lack of policy vision. It is the governance capacity to implement that vision well. At the QS India Summit 2026, this realisation became impossible to ignore. We often frame autonomy and accountability as opposites. They are not. Autonomy without accountability erodes trust. Accountability without autonomy kills initiative. The future lies in outcome-based autonomy where institutions are trusted to act, but expected to show results. Five years into the National Education Policy, academic freedom has undoubtedly expanded. Curriculum design is more flexible. Interdisciplinary learning is real. Skill integration is no longer optional. But implementation has revealed a deeper truth: policy intent moves faster than governance systems. Take student mobility. The Academic Bank of Credits is conceptually sound. Yet mobility breaks down unless credits, incentives, and accountability move together. When they don’t, mobility stops being a design issue, it becomes a governance failure. The same applies to funding and trust. Tuition-dependent universities carry financial risk while being asked to deliver public purpose. What they need is not deregulation, but predictability. Autonomy without predictability is not freedom, it is exposure. In systems of this scale, trust cannot be built through inspections alone. It must be built through credible data, transparent outcomes, and proportionate disclosure. This is why current discussions around unified regulation and the VBSA framework matter. Not because regulation should be tighter, but because it must be smarter. Common standards should not mean uniform behaviour. A level playing field must reward integrity, performance, and outcomes, regardless of institutional label. India does not need to copy global models. It needs governance frameworks that trust institutions, demand outcomes, enable mobility, and reward integrity. @manav_rachna @QSCorporate #Education #policy #Learning #ViksitBharat

The National Education Policy sets a clear long-term direction for India, and the 2026–27 Budget reflects steady progress along that path. What stands out is the way higher education and skilling are increasingly being viewed together. Learning is being connected more closely with careers, productivity, and economic participation. This shift recognises that qualifications need to be supported by practical skills and real exposure to industry. The opportunity now lies in ensuring that the new structures and initiatives translate into: ▪️industry-relevant skills ▪️employable graduates ▪️scalable research and innovation outcomes Education is increasingly being seen as national infrastructure for growth and a key driver of economic progress. Strong collaboration between government, academia, and industry can convert India’s demographic advantage into a workforce that can compete globally, supported by lifelong learning and reskilling. #Budget #BudgetForViksitBharat

As India moves steadily towards 2047, the conversations we hold today around skills, scale, and innovation will shape not just institutions, but generations. I look forward to joining the QS India Summit 2025 in Goa from 1–3 February at Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon, engaging with this year’s theme, #India@2047 : Building Skills, Achieving Scale, Driving Innovation. At a time when education sits at the intersection of policy, industry, and societal change, such platforms offer an opportunity to move beyond intent - to alignment, collaboration, and action. I’m keen to exchange perspectives with leaders across ecosystems who are collectively reimagining India’s education and talent landscape. The summit brings together: Senior insights from across the global education ecosystem Practical, application-driven discussions Opportunities for meaningful partnerships More details here: eu1.hubs.ly/H0qf6fn0 #QSSummit

As another year turns, I find meaning in returning to a tradition that has quietly anchored the spirit of @manav_rachna for decades - the Maha Mrityunjaya Yagna. Observed each year from 26 December and culminating with the Purnahuti on 1 January, this sacred seven-day observance was envisioned by our founder, Dr. O.P. Bhalla, as a moment of collective reflection, gratitude, and inner alignment. It is not merely a ritual, but a pause and a conscious coming together of thought, intention, and purpose. Over these days, the Manav Rachna campus becomes a space of stillness and shared resolve. The chants, the sacred fire, and the silence in between remind us that progress finds meaning when rooted in values, and growth becomes enduring when guided by humility and compassion. This year, as always, the presence and words of my mother, our Chief Patron, bring a sense of grounded wisdom to the gathering. Her address to the Manav Rachna community is a reminder that institutions endure not because of structures alone, but because of the people who nurture them with care, conscience, and continuity. As we step into the new year, I hope this sacred beginning inspires us to move forward with clarity, responsibility, and a deeper sense of purpose, individually and collectively. Wishing everyone a New Year filled with peace, balance, and meaningful progress. #NewYear2026

Convershine reinforces an important reminder: growth might be measured in expansion, but it is also measured in alignment to purpose, people, and the responsibility we carry as an educational institution. As we look ahead at Manav Rachna University's journey, one thought remains central: we must stay true to the founding purpose and vision, creating better human beings. Education, at its core is about shaping character, responsibility, and values that endure beyond the classroom. When I think about how Manav Rachna Educational Institutions can contribute regionally, nationally, and globally, I see it as a catalyst. A platform that gives direction to education by responding to real societal needs, through meaningful research, strong industry integration, continuous teacher capability building, and community relevance. Where a gap exists, our responsibility is to recognize it early and act with intent and speed. #InItToWinIt

Some moments reveal where a nation’s innovation trajectory is headed, and the Smart India Hackathon 2025 offers exactly that. A platform that began in 2017 has now become a national engine where young talent engages with complexity through data, design, and deep tech thinking. What we saw at MRIIRS as a Nodal Centre is a clear shift in the way this generation approaches agritech challenges. Their instinct is not to “fix” problems but to re-architect them, using AI to predict, analytics to decide, and user intelligence to scale. They think in systems, not silos; in models, not assumptions. This is the mindset that will define India’s next leap in productivity and digital agronomy. You can see a new innovation culture taking form at SIH - bold, data-driven, and powered by young talent that is already thinking at the scale the future requires. @PMOIndia | @narendramodi | @SIH2025 | @mhrd_innovation | @EduMinOfIndia | @dpradhanbjp | @DrSukantaBJP | @jayantrld | @Vineet_K26 | @AICTE_INDIA | @SITHARAMtg | @abhayjere | @manav_rachna @MIB_India | @PIB_India #SIH2025 #SmartIndiaHackathon #ManavRachna #SmartIndiaHackathon2025

Waking up to Delhi’s air quality in the red zone forces all of us to pause and think about the kind of future we are shaping. In moments like these, the role of institutions becomes even more important as we guide young minds toward sustainable choices and responsible innovation. India’s growing presence in the QS Rankings reflects this shift in mindset. Our institutions are stepping into global conversations with stronger intent and clearer purpose, especially in the sustainability space. At Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies our approach to sustainability goes beyond compliance. It is woven into our teaching values, research culture and the way we create opportunities for our students. Our standing in the QS Sustainability Rankings reaffirms that our collective efforts are moving in the right direction. What makes this recognition meaningful is the shared commitment behind it. Each initiative on campus, each research idea and each collaboration adds to a culture that values responsibility as much as progress. #Sustainability

Every year, we celebrate curiosity, imagination, and the boundless potential of young minds. But as educators and parents, it’s worth pausing to ask ourselves, “Do we truly allow our children to learn in ways that belong to them?” Too often, education in India turns into a balancing act between parental expectations and personal ambition. Research shows that nearly 70% of Indian students choose their courses under parental influence. We always want the best for our children but sometimes, the best thing we can do is step back, listen and let them discover what excites them. We saw this play out beautifully with the Kunskapsskolan model of personalised learning in India. The idea was simple, yet transformative: no two learners are the same, so why should their learning journeys be identical? In this model, each student sets their own goals, learns at their own pace and works with mentors who guide their path. What began as an experiment quietly grew into a movement within our classrooms. Science reinforces what experience tells us. According to the Harvard Center on the Developing Child, nearly 90% of brain development happens before the age of five. These early years are when curiosity, independence and creativity take root, not through instruction, but through exploration. The same philosophy guided our work with the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, where practical, simulation-based modules helped empower over 10 lakh students across government schools. The greatest gift we can give our children is not answers, but the confidence to find their own. When we guide without steering, we raise explorers who are curious, independent, and full of possibility. #Childrensday
