Once upon a time, readers across the nation grew up with the same fables, myths, adventures, and moral touchstones. Now every student gets a different algorithm, a different feed, and different "excerpts" catered to their reading level.

World Book Day was a good reminder of what we are missing by moving away from Textbooks and into Chromebooks for education. We seem to be missing a Canon of texts that unites readers everywhere.
