No judicial officer has the power to order a lawyer or litigant to kneel or face the wall in court. If a lawyer is alleged to be in contempt, such allegation must be addressed strictly in line with due process, not arbitrary directives. The rule of law must always prevail!

It’s high time people started negotiating with some barristers on how long a house rent fee should remain fixed before any increase, before paying for house rent. How can someone pay lawyer fees of ₦250,000, caution fees of ₦200,000, agent fees of ₦250,000, and a rent of ₦700,000, and then, after just one year, the so-called barrister increases the rent and tells you that if you’re not okay with the increment, you should move out? 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼 It looks so frustrating! 👌👌👌 Is that how it’s supposed to be, or is it just because we’re in a lawless country? 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼 Some barristers have clearly sold their conscience. @233streetlaw
