we're barely halfway into the year, but this show successfully got me into a surprisingly thrill ride out of many k-shows i tried to watch in the last few months. main casts are young and far from "established", less expectations coming from the general audience but it's another proof that a good show isn't all about big casting, rather substantial screenplay is enough to carry.
conceptually far from innovative, forgivable unattended arcs here and there (on their defense, some actresses mentioned possibility of another season), but the show itself cinematically studies the classic elements of horror with humor subtly blending into the direction as a breather from edge-of-your-seat worthy scenes. my favorite thing has to be the backstory of the ghosts, as it develops around my favorite moral theme: projection of inferiority.

im saying this as someone who hate horror, but #IfWishesCouldKill is a pleasant watch (so far, cuz i haven't started ep7)
also, i need to talk about kim sia, absolute charismatic young actress and she's such a pretty crier! she stole the show for me

baffles me how out of all the ongoing/new releases shows that i'm watching, perfect crown is the most underwhelming one so far 😕 the plot is so uncoordinated, chemistry isn't enough to back it up too, i enjoy seeing IU's acting but that's the only thing that keeps me going 😭

Strong writing/plot will make you forget the budget ever existed, but a weak story can drag down the biggest productions and even make the grandeur feel empty
