@FU_joehudson Hi Joe, really enjoy your stuff. Can you say more about what the "I'm not going to let you" part of this means? How are you not going to let them? What are you going to do to not let them hurt anyone or break things?

“I’m not going to let you hurt anyone or break things. I’m here. And I love you.” There was no yelling. No threat of consequence. Just presence, and a clear limit. When it passed, we talked about what happened. She helped clean up. There was repair.

This book changed my life. Inside it was one of the most profound spiritual practices I have ever done. It completely transformed my relationship with myself, my daughters, and my business partners. 3 lessons from Patty Wipfler:

re: existential risk / ai safety etc it’s psychically hazardous to expand your sphere of concern very far beyond your sphere of influence. a felt sense of powerlessness spoils your epistemics like nothing else

i just caught myself dissociating from a feeling (frustration in this case) -- these moments of noticing have become SO satisfying like im winning at a game i truly care about and like of course theres dissociation this stuff feels bad, even more or less unsafe

i had a hard time feeling understood by my parents when i was a kid. now, i am realizing how much of it comes down to not understanding my parents too. this is a letter I wrote my dad. i was surprised that he wanted me to share it openly. 1/3

I feel like this is not obvious - *being* generous doesn’t mean “doing things for other people”

Irt emotional processing, an often overlooked tip is to bring a noninterpretive awareness to your feelings/sensations, not just a nonjudgmental awareness

14/ When we worked with this pattern, the throat sensation itself became a teacher. Instead of just trying to push through it, she learned to pause and ask: "What needs to be said here?" The physical tension was pointing directly to the unspoken words that needed to emerge. This shows how our bodies often use incredibly literal signals - actually physically stopping speech when we're not speaking our truth. Would you like me to continue with more examples of these direct somatic metaphors from coaching work?

The most successful people seem to have this inexplicable magic - a mysterious inner knowing that guides their biggest decisions. I couldn't understand it until faced with my crossroads. What I discovered changed everything I thought I knew about intuition...🧵"
