1. No. Without Rhystic Study, the cEDH meta will lean further into turbo decks which is something that the committee doesn’t desire, hence the Jlo and Mana Crypt Bans. I can write a full dissertation why this isn’t the play but there’s a tweet limit. 2. This will warp gameplay, along with this there are things that do the same effect like lab man & Jace just for more mana. There are various interaction points before thassas is used to win. In cEDH, first you have to fight over the silence effect then the thassas and then the decon or tainted. There’s various interaction points so banning this card is pointless and will lead to the meta going further toward thrasios turbo decks.

@nuhre_ Some of the truest crimes from this are the erosion of our labels for games. It happens here, with roguelikes, etc. The more that people use labels, the moee they make them less rigid until there is no distinction. Fussed about this a few days ago regarding -punk vs -tech books.

I may be an ignorant bitch but I know my RPGs. Voiced protagonists don’t belong in the genre. They shrink roleplay into cosplay—you’re just piloting an established character with a name tag. First-person, voiced MC, prefab personality, “action RPG” nonsense has gutted the genre. The only studios still doing it right? Larian and Owlcat. Everyone else is just making fanfic with skill trees.
