If the reports are true, I don't blame Mainoo for sitting this one out. After being overlooked for the games that mattered, expecting him to risk himself in a third-place playoff makes little sense. In my opinion, he's one of England's most technically gifted midfielders, yet he was repeatedly left on the bench. If he's unavailable now, his focus should be on recovering and returning fully fit for Manchester United.
