It’s a heavy price to pay, but Poetl’s contract is very difficult to move.

@SBGreatestPF I believe in IQ, I think the franchise kinda forced him into a traditional PG role which doesn’t really fit his style, hopefully with another primary scorer/handler he can settle back into a more combo guard role and if so I believe he’ll thrive.

@MuseQuickley Sadly the center market is very thin right now and it’s not worth giving a 1st round pick for a center unless you know he’s a true upgrade (not Myles Turner) they’re better off waiting until the trade deadline and seeing what comes available

Do Raptors fans understand ? that we don’t have a good center once this team goes to the playoffs; will get killed inside in the paint why you think we where ranked first in points allowed in the paint You can’t rely on CMB to play 40 mins in the playoffs he needs help, and Poeltl won’t offer that defensively the cavs series showed it
Bobby has to realize that he has the worst defensive center in the league and needs to find a new Center immediately

@IrieHeights34 @Kawhidagoat1 Jrue has been a consistent 38-40% 3 pt shooter the past 5 seasons and I really don’t think Battle is gonna get that many minutes sadly, he wouldn’t be my first choice to give up for sure but I feel like it would take something the sweeten the offer

@heis12740 @Kawhidagoat1 Don’t think Portland would take on a PG who has 3 or so years left on his contract, also i like IQ in more of a combo guard role as opposed to a traditional PG role

1. True upgrade at center, don’t think this will happen as the market is very thin (wouldn’t give up a first for a guy like Turner)
2. A secondary ball handler in the backcourt next to IQ (Jrue, buy low on Derrick White)

Raptors depth chart going into next season. I don’t think they’ll make any other big moves and will give this core group a chance first.
But realistically what moves do the Raptors have to make still to become a legitimate championship contender?
I think they need to upgrade the center position obviously. Poeltl won’t cut it. Also big year for Quickley - gonna have to step up.
Bench looks good, just need a backup big.
