@ZoldenGames Sprites have always been the plan! All the microbes in the game are constantly active, and will create way too much performance pressure if they are all simulated 2D softbodies. Also softbodies afaik use simpler shapes, but these hand-painted sprites allow more intricate designs!

@PrimordialEmp Don't you plan using 2d soft bodies instead of scalable sprites for this game?

Do you like jellyfish? 🪼 These are the Jellies, a ranged combat cell in Primordial Empire.🔫 While quite fragile, their shots pack a heavy punch. Also the only way to eliminate viruses. Make sure to keep a couple around to protect your collective! #indiegame #gamedev

Feeder Cells are a gluttonous bunch. 🍖 They devour stem cells and amino berries for sustenance. They then convert their food into energy and feed it to certain plants in your colony, hence the name. A crucial link of the food chain. 🪸 #indiegame #gamedev
