Everyone talks about defenders stopping goals. I enjoyed scoring them too. Maybe if I had gone to the premier league, people would've understood what a goalscoring defender really looks like. (laughs)
You know, I used to check up on players like Varane & Casemiro about their time there. What always stood out to me was how they spoke about the club. Even after leaving, United still felt like home to them.
The connection they had with the fans was special. That's probably what made me wonder the most about what could have been. But football is football. Some opportunities come. Some don't. That's one I'll always be curious about.”
