@PrinceSoleil29 You're so right in everything you said!! I also believe that if he stayed that's what would have happened to him :( or maybe he would've been killed and Tetsuji would've put it like a suicide (like he did with other ravens) and would've tried to use it as publicity or something

People love to forget Kevin was also never treated as a human being in the Nest, he wasn't a punching bag for Riko only bc he was a valuable product. He did the best he could for Jean while also trying to survive and maintain his value.

For Kevin to have been able to stop the tortures against Jean or other ravens he would have had to have the same hierarchy level as Riko. And he clearly didn't, as every single character who talked about him as a raven has told us along the books. He was just a "pet" for him.
