Heather: "I tend to really enjoy The reluctant hero, the inconvenient prophecy, bloodstained families, and grizzled detectives."

Sarah: "We actually discussed this at a staff meeting recently! I'm a fan of friends to lovers, sunshine x grumpy, and the reluctant hero."

Heather: "I love pulling out some old craft books when it is about to rain. Tanis Gray has lots of compendiums for knitting, from "Fellowship of the Knits" to "Nightmare Before Christmas". If I want a comfort read, I love diving back into Tamora Pierce, which we now have! "Song of the Lioness" was one of my favorite series growing up, as was "The Circle of Magic"."

Sarah: "Oh that's a tough one. It depends on my mood, but this time? It'll probably be 'The Golden Compass' by Philip Pullman with Pillsbury cookies from the freezer 😄"

Heather: "Fight Club". When I was younger, I loved how both the movie and the book ended the plot. The movie is very true to the satirical and scathing critique on toxic cultural groups. (It's much more than a "First rule of--" story.) The book focuses on cultural relevance while the movie focuses on financial. Both worked great. (Though, I might need to rewatch to double check!)"

Heather: "I wish more people knew they can come up to the desk and ask us any book-relevant question. We love helping out with book recommendations and we have lots of great digital resources we can help you load up onto your phone!"

Sarah: "I love that question! I actually talked about this in the 'Wuthering Film Adaptations' episode of the 'Important Library Stuff' Podcast but here are SOME of my picks: Best: Jurassic Park The Princess Bride Worst: The Golden Compass (the movie, not the miniseries. The miniseries is really good) A Series of Unfortunate Events( Once again, the Jim Carrey movie, not the Netflix series.)"

Sarah: "Oh that's a good one! I wish people knew that we provide more than just books (Although the books are very important.) I also wish that more people knew more about the awesome programs that each library puts on. For instance, at Manassas City a new book club has been started called 'Prose and Cons' the premise? Each month, a different topic is put forward and the participants can read any book they want on the particular topic."

Sarah: "I just finished "Remarkably Bright Creatures" by Shelby Van Pelt (I wanted to make sure I read it before watching the movie) and I just started "Honey" by Isabel Banta (it's super nostalgic.) I also had one that I DNF'd and that's "When in Rome" by Sarah Adams."

Sarah: "I'm always excited for Writing Fanfiction, Podcast Discussion Group and the Never Too Old Book Club! But I'm also really thrilled about the TTRPG (tabletop role-playing game) one shots I'm doing in August. August 1st I'll be doing 'Library Cats' and August 22nd I'll be doing a 'Honey Heist'. Both are really fun and open to adults and older teens."
