At some point, you will have to disappoint others to live a life that's honest to you. People pleasing will drain you, not save you. You have every right to set boundaries and choose your peace. You can disappoint people and still be a good person.

This may sound harsh, but as a woman you cannot surround yourself with a bunch of miserable women and thrive. I know everyone has their moments and goes through things but some are just internally miserable and will never be able to lift you or genuinely be happy for you.

Sometimes ppl handle you weird cuz you the first person they ever met that made them feel like they gotta go harder.

I will never forget those who went out their way to villainize me, disregard my truth, and meet me with weird energy, when my intention was pure and in love all along. I will never forget the switch up, when all it took was clear communication and an open heart.

shout out to everybody who's figuring out how to respond when their boundaries get tested. shout out to everybody finding balance between speaking their piece and keeping the peace. shout out to everybody navigating complex relationships with people they love 💖

I cannot express this enough, you have NO IDEA what other people carry with them EVERYDAY. You have NO IDEA what someone's life is like. Don't create more pain & stress to others. BE KIND. BE GENUINE. Stop being so mean to people to fulfill whatever it is you don't like about you.

Speak carefully on things you can't relate to. Speak carefully on things “you'll never suffer.” Speak carefully on the level of discrimination you will “never face.” Life can happen to anybody.

It only takes ONE bad experience in your life to slip into addiction. ONE. Death, breakup, failure, unemployment, sickness, etc. So while y’all are posting in your perfect little homes judging others who are trying to overcome addiction and sadness, and whatever else..remember that could be you tomorrow.
