How fortunate we are at St Mary’s UC to have such a wonderful student teacher in Jane Walls from Moneyglass, County Antrim.Jane is an All-Ireland Fleadh winner on the Uilleann pipes.She played some tunes at the start of the recent Music Education conference at the College.

Our Senior Irish Trad Group & GCSE Music students took part in a fantastic workshop led by Antrim-based composer Gráinne Meyer, where they learned to arrange trad music for a range of instruments. This was a great opportunity for our pupils, facilitated by Moving On Music.

The Music Department & everyone at SPX would like to wish Paddy Walls the best of luck performing with the Music Generation Cross Border Ensemble this evening alongside Michael Rooney & the Garda Síochána Band.
