Last year at an Eagles farewell concert - a group who’ve seen & done it all, took to the stage & said that with so much madness in the world, we should enjoy ourselves for 2 hours while they played. We did. It didn’t mean you can’t have your views. And I’ll just leave that there.

Old people’s fixation with the “news” at given times. “Oh, it’s 9.00, put the news on” - the idea of 24hr news seems unfathomable to them. I tell them there is news every minute, some reported before it’s even happened. But nah, not going in. It’s 9.00 and they want “the” news.🙈

On my evening dog walk in Autumn, I enjoy seeing the effect that lights have behind trees and leaves on the ground. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather be somewhere tropical…but until then, it’ll do.

Mad stat at end - 117 tries and hadn’t completed 2 seasons in the game at that point!! Was with my dad for this one. See how he carves up two wingers and a full back to score. Always said, never seen the likes of it before or since. The greatest.

Couple months since it came out but finally watched McEnroe doc on Sky. Brilliant piece of work. Takeaways: insane talent, the wonderful rivalry and friendship with Borg, the clarity of recollection as he talks thru his story. Fully focused special people w/v special legacies.
