Just for clarity, your “gotcha moment” here is Karen knew that Aidan talked to Will about her and Aidan’s fight the day after the fight happened and Meredith couldn’t have possibly know that Aidan talked to Will at that point, right? But let’s think this thru…Aidan gets in a huge fight with Karen and secretly records it and Meredith knows Aidan like the back of her hand so she knows that Aidan is gonna immediately get on the phone with his friends to bitch about it. Who would Aidan call to bitch about Karen to? Will. Nobody’s ever said that Karen knew that Aidan talked to the other 3 people about it that early on - just Will. And did Karen ever tell anyone that the person who first tipped her off about the recording on August 30th told her that Will knows about it or did Karen just assume that Aidan had told Will about it?
